What is it?

Most will agree that IP management cannot be ignored in the field of agricultural research. As IP management becomes critical to operations, risks connected to IP mismanagement are also increasing. CAS-IP is currently working on developing a way to assist the CGIAR in preventing the mismanagement of IP within the system.

What does CAS-IP intend to deliver?

CAS-IP is preparing a publication co-written by the head of the CGIAR-Internal Audit Unit (IAU) and an external expert who specialized in risk management in public sector institutions. The paper is currently a work in progress and will contain contributions from several CGIAR authors as well as non CG experts. We will identify a set of risk factor indicators, tips of making assessments of the level of risk connected to these indicators and advice on how to avoid and/or remedy undesirable situations.
