The Annual IP Managers/Focal Points meeting is an opportunity for CGIAR centres’ IP managers to meet, report on their year’s activities and share problems and solutions with their peers.
CAS-IP Training Programme on Intellectual Property Rights relating to Agriculture
31 March – 1 April 2008; ICRISAT-Patancheru
This 2-day event will provide a basic training programme in IPRs with a focus on agriculture. Topics to be covered will include; IPRs in agriculture, Copyrights, Trademarks, Patents, Patent search, Plant Variety Protection (including the Indian legislation), Transfer of Technology, IPRs related to biotechnology and the International Treaty on PGRFA and its developments.

Proposal Writing Workshop for the CAS-IP National Partners Initiative
February 18th-22nd 2008; Serdang, MARDI, HQ, Malaysia
Days 1 & 2 of the workshop participants will learn techniques to write effective proposals and concept notes with the view to increase funding for implementing NPI* activities at the national level. There will also be time available for working on more general NPI activities with the CAS-IP team members and CG partners present.
