Tree Genetic Resources and Intellectual Property Management - Legal and Social Issues of Handling Germplasm

The objective of the workshop is to introduce IP in the context of small enterprises, discuss the importance of legal issues and agreements/licences and provide examples of the use of trademarks, PVP, and certification systems as tools for marketing and returning value to farmers/producers and germplasm suppliers.

Expert Advisory Committee Meeting (EAC)

This is the 9th annual meeting of the CAS-IP, Expert Advisory Committee. This committee is composed of IP professionals both internal and external to the CG who serve as an advisory board to CAS-IP.

IP Managers/Focal Points Meeting & the National Partners Initiative Meeting

This is a combined meeting. The annual IP Managers/Focal Points meeting is an opportunity for CG centres’ IP managers to meet, report on their year’s activities and share problems and solutions with their peers.
